The capital of Italy and also known as the “Eternal City”, Rome is one of the oldest cities on the planet and a top tourist destination in Europe. This city is steeped in history and houses hundreds of historical attractions worth visiting. Of course, it’s not all about the past and today Rome is a modern metropolis that boasts a vibrant nightlife.

The legend says how Rome was founded by the twin brothers, Remus and Romulus who were raised by a wolf and adopted by a shepherd. The more realistic version is that Rome was founded in the 8th century and was originally a small village that managed to grow quickly thanks to its central geographical location.
